My partner and I recently spent a weekend away at The George Boutique Hotel, and what a treat it was! After only a short drive from Sydney on the Friday night we were greeted by the owners of the hotel who immediately ensured that we were comfortable and relaxed; a glass of wine and chocolates prior to bed eased us into the weekend ahead. Up early we were treated to a plentiful continental breakfast prior to departing for the day to explore Blackheath and its surrounds. On return that evening we shared a bottle of wine on the patio as the light faded before heading into the Blue Jax Restaurant for a most delicious dinner - the salmon and steak were excellent!!
After a good nights sleep we arose and checked out of the hotel relaxed and content, without a doubt we will be returning in the winter for more sightseeing, wine in front of the fireplace and superb hospitality.
Our recent stay at The George in Blackheath was a wonderful family break and the perfect base from which to explore the Upper Mountains. Our King Room was warm and comfortable and the shared spaces included a cosy library and relaxed sunroom with plenty of spaces to sit with a book or simply enjoy the charms of the beautiful old house. For anyone looking for a stay in the Blue Mountains with the comforts of a Hotel and the charms of a friendly B and B, The George Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice and we will definitely be returning
From the moment we arrived at The George Boutique Hotel the relaxation began. Stepping in from the fresh Blackheath air we had a very warm welcome to this classic heritage home with its beautifully decorated interiors, antique furniture, and well appointed rooms. After a glass of complimentary port in the library we dined on a delicious meal in the atmospheric Blue Jax Restaurant. Only 5 minutes walk to Blackheath Village I could not recommend this place more for a romantic weekend (or week) away in the Blue Mountains.
